Stentor violins, violas, cellos and double basses are built from solid tonewoods, shaped from the original instrument form down to the finer details. The instruments are carved to specific thicknesses to optimize tonal quality. We carefully control the specifications and dimensions of Stentor instruments in our own workshops to produce instruments that combine the essential characteristics of a good tone with consistent quality control. On all Stentor instruments the bridge and soundpost are carefully fitted to ensure optimal playability.

Stentor Student I

The Stentor Student I is the ideal entry-level violin. It’s an instrument that delivers reliable, consistent performance and a pleasing tone that supports the student’s learning process. Each instrument is crafted from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling, high-quality Pau-Rosa pegs and an ebonized, straight-grained fingerboard. It comes fitted with a quality bridge and a tailpiece with integrated fine tuners.

The outfit includes a reliable wooden bow and a thoughtfully designed, lightweight case with internal lining, an exterior pocket for the shoulder rest and a music pocket, bow holders and rosin, plus backpack straps. (1/32 and 1/64 sizes have wooden tailpieces with string adjusters). The Student I violins are available in sizes: 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64.
