Stentor violins, violas, cellos and double basses are built from solid tonewoods, from the original instrument shape through to the finer details. The instruments are individually graduated for tonal quality. We carefully control the specifications and dimensions of Stentor instruments in our own workshops to produce instruments that display the essential characteristics of good tone and consistent quality control. On all Stentor instruments the bridge and sound post are carefully fitted to ensure optimal playability.

Stentor Student I

The Stentor Student I is the ideal beginner-level violin. It delivers reliable, consistent performance and a good tone, helping to improve the student’s learning process. Each instrument is crafted from solid tonewoods with inlaid purfling and high-quality pau-rosa pegs and an ebonized, straight-grained fingerboard. It is fitted with a high-quality bridge and a tailpiece with integrated fine tuners.

Included are a reliable wooden bow and a thoughtfully designed, lightweight case with internal compartment, an outside pocket for the shoulder rest and a music pocket, bow holders and rosin, plus backpack-style carrying straps. (1/32 and 1/64 sizes have wooden tailpieces with string adjusters). The Student I violins are available in sizes: 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64.
