Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE - Dreadnought With Cutaway and Built-In Electronics!

The Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE from the Western Series expands the classic dreadnought concept with a cutaway and a built-in pickup/preamp. That lets you play the guitar acoustically or plug it straight into an amplifier, mixing console or other audio equipment.

Dreadnought Body With Cutaway

Top, back and sides are made of basswood. The dimensions of approximately 103 x 40 x 12 cm correspond to a full-size western guitar. Unlike the standard WS-10, this CE version features a cutaway that eases access to the higher positions on the fretboard. That makes the guitar suited not only for chord accompaniment and strumming, but also gives extra room for melody lines and solo passages.

Pickup, Preamp and Built-In Tuner

The built-in pickup/preamp expands the WS-10-CE with a complete electronics section. For tone shaping you get a 3-band EQ for bass, middle and treble plus an additional presence control. A built-in tuner with a backlit LCD display lets you tune directly on the instrument. Besides a 6.3 mm jack output, the guitar also offers an XLR output, providing flexible connection options for different live and recording setups.

Full-Size Scale With Glued Neck

The neck is made of birch and is glued to the body. The fretboard and bridge are made of maple. The fretboard has a 12" (305 mm) radius and white dot position markers. The scale length is 645 mm (about 25.4 inches). With a 43 mm nut width and 20 frets, the guitar has classic dimensions for a 6-string western guitar.

Practical Hardware for Acoustic and Stage

The nut and saddle are made of plastic. White plastic bridge pins with black dots secure the strings to the maple bridge, while open tuners handle tuning. A 2-way truss rod lets you adjust neck relief. A 9V block battery is included to power the preamp, EQ and tuner.
