Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE - Flexible Western Guitar for Acoustic and Amplified Sets!

The Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE from the Western Series combines the established dreadnought shape with a cutaway and an integrated pickup/preamp unit. That gives you an instrument you can use for purely acoustic practice as well as for amplified rehearsals or performances.

Dreadnought with Improved Access to Upper Frets

The body’s top, back and sides are made of linden and measure approximately 103 cm in height, 40 cm in width and 12 cm in depth. The cutaway removes part of the shoulder on the neck side of the traditional dreadnought format, making access to the higher frets easier. This is especially practical when your repertoire includes melody lines or solo passages in addition to open chords.

Integrated Electronics with Extensive Tone Control

A pickup with an active preamp handles the electric signal transmission. For on-instrument adjustment you have bass, middle and treble controls as a 3-band EQ plus a presence control. In addition, a tuner with a backlit LCD display is built in. For connection you have both a 6.3 mm jack and an XLR output.

Birch Neck, Maple Fretboard and Classic Scale

The neck is made of birch and is glued to the body. The maple fretboard has a 12" (305 mm) radius and white dot position markers. The scale length is 645 mm (approx. 25.4"). Together with a nut width of 43 mm and 20 frets, this results in a familiar full-size layout.

Tuned Hardware for Everyday Use

The nut and the bridge saddle are made of plastic. White plastic bridge pins with black dots secure the strings to the maple bridge, while open tuners handle tuning. A 2-way truss rod allows adjustment of the neck relief during a setup. The 9V block battery required for the pickup, preamp, EQ and tuner is already included.
