Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE - Dreadnought with Cutaway, Preamp and Tuner!
The Classic Cantabile WS-10-CE from the Western Series combines a full-size dreadnought body with practical electronics. Cutaway, integrated pickup/preamp, equalizer and tuner make this 6-string western guitar a flexible solution for acoustic and amplified playing.
Traditional Body Size with Additional Cutaway
Top, back and sides are made of linden. The dimensions are approximately 103 x 40 x 12 cm. This keeps the guitar squarely in the realm of a full-size dreadnought, while the cutaway improves access to the upper registers. In addition to open chords and rhythmic accompaniment, melodies and solo passages can be played more comfortably across a larger portion of the fingerboard.
Active Preamp for Stage and Recording
The built-in electronics include a pickup and preamp as well as a 3-band EQ for bass, middle and treble. An additional presence control allows further shaping of the amplified signal. The integrated tuner features a backlit LCD display and is accessible directly on the control panel. In addition to the standard 1/4" jack, the guitar has an XLR output.
Full-Size Layout with 20 Frets
A birch neck is glued to the body and carries a maple fingerboard. The fingerboard radius is 12 inches (305 mm), with white dots marking the positions. The scale length is 64.5 cm, or about 25.4 inches. The nut width is 43 mm and the fingerboard has 20 frets.
Functional Hardware for Reliable Handling
The nut and saddle are made of plastic. White plastic bridge pins with black dots secure the strings at the maple bridge. Open tuners handle the tuning. A 2-way truss rod allows targeted adjustment of the neck relief. The 9V block battery required for the electronics is included in the delivery.
