Powerful column array for live music and DJ use!
The LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 Black is designed for professionals looking for a powerful active PA system with controlled dispersion. This 4-way cardioid PA system combines an 18" bass-reflex subwoofer with a large, two-piece speaker column. With 1,900 watts RMS, 3,800 watts peak and up to 135 dB SPL, it offers plenty of headroom for music and speech on large stages. The black enclosure blends discreetly into the stage setup; there is no integrated digital mixer.
18" bass and four active ways
The 18" neodymium woofer delivers precise bass down to 28 Hz at -10 dB. The bass-reflex enclosure uses airflow-optimized ports to reduce air noise. The column features 16 x 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and 4 x 1" compression drivers for the highs. Two midrange drivers above the high-frequency section help deliver clear sound over longer distances.
Wide audience coverage and cardioid technology
The MAUI 66 G3 Black offers 120° horizontal and 25° vertical dispersion. BEM-optimized waveguides and phase plugs help ensure even sound distribution. The passive cardioid design reduces rearward column radiation by up to 18 dB, helping to reduce sound on stage. An optional second MAUI 66 G3 subwoofer can add more bass output or be used in a cardioid subwoofer array with the corresponding preset.
Connect to a mixer and stream wirelessly
Two XLR/jack combo inputs accept signals from DJ controllers, mixers and other audio devices. Two XLR thru outputs and a sub output are available for system expansion. Bluetooth 5.4 supports wireless streaming with SBC, AAC and aptX. DynX DSP second generation handles internal speaker tuning and protection limiters. The system does not have an integrated 8-channel mixer.
Practical design for mobile use
The powder-coated aluminum column consists of two elements that connect via plug contacts, without a separate speaker cable. The birch plywood subwoofer enclosure with a polyurea finish is designed for mobile use. Four ergonomic handles make transport and positioning easier. This black column PA combines a tidy setup with professional live sound performance and deep-reaching bass.
