18" bass extension for your white MAUI 66 G3!
The LD Systems MAUI 66 G3 SUB W is an active 18" extension subwoofer for the white MAUI 66 G3 column PA system. With 1,900 watts RMS, 3,800 watts peak and a maximum of 135 dB SPL, it provides ample power reserves for demanding live events, DJ performances and large venues. The neodymium woofer reaches down to 28 Hz and adds a more powerful bass foundation to the system's existing subwoofer. A dedicated cardioid preset also enables directional bass dispersion. The package contains one subwoofer, without a speaker column or integrated mixer.
18" neodymium woofer for deep bass
An 18" neodymium woofer with a 4" voice coil operates in the airflow-optimized bass-reflex enclosure. The tuned bass-reflex ports reduce air turbulence and port noise. Extension down to 28 Hz at -10 dB supports powerful reproduction of bass-heavy music. The Class D amplifier delivers 1,900 watts RMS and 3,800 watts peak. The second-generation DynX DSP processes the signal using advanced limiters.
Additional bass or a cardioid subwoofer setup
For greater bass impact, point the extension subwoofer forward, just like your MAUI 66 G3 W, and deactivate the cardioid preset. Alternatively, position the additional subwoofer facing backwards and activate the cardioid preset. Together with the existing subwoofer in the MAUI 66 G3 W, this creates a directional bass setup that significantly reduces rearward low-frequency dispersion and increases bass output toward the audience.
Automatic FOLLOWER detection
When no speaker column is connected, the MAUI 66 G3 SUB W automatically switches to FOLLOWER mode. To connect it, use an XLR cable to link the Sub Out or System Out on your MAUI 66 G3 W to the right input on the extension subwoofer. It has two XLR/jack combo inputs and three XLR outputs. The system does not have an integrated digital mixer.
Durable white construction
The 18 mm birch plywood enclosure features a durable polyurea coating and a steel front grille with impact protection. Four ergonomic handles make it easier to transport and position the 43.7 kg subwoofer. Its white finish suits elegant event venues, weddings and galas.
