More deep bass for your MAUI 44 G3!
The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 SUB adds an active 15" bass-reflex subwoofer to your black MAUI 44 G3 column PA system. Its powerful neodymium woofer reaches down to 34 Hz, while the Class D amplifier delivers 1,800 watts RMS and 3,600 watts peak, according to the manufacturer. With a maximum of 133 dB SPL and a dedicated cardioid preset, this add-on subwoofer is ideal for demanding live sound, mobile DJ setups and professional event applications. This is a single additional subwoofer, supplied without a column or integrated mixer.
Powerful 15" bass-reflex subwoofer
The 15" neodymium woofer features a 4" voice coil and operates in an airflow-optimized bass-reflex enclosure. This design supports a powerful, controlled low-frequency response and reduces unwanted air noise at the bass-reflex ports. The integrated DynX DSP Gen. 2 and powerful limiters help ensure reliable operation, even at high levels. Overheating protection is also included.
Flexible bass expansion with cardioid preset
The MAUI 44 G3 SUB is designed specifically to expand an existing MAUI 44 G3 system. For additional bass output, you can position the add-on subwoofer facing forward, parallel to the existing subwoofer. The cardioid preset remains disabled in this configuration. Positioning the additional subwoofer facing backward and activating the preset creates a cardioid subwoofer configuration that reduces bass behind the stage and directs more of it toward the audience.
FOLLOWER operation via XLR connection
Automatic FOLLOWER mode activates as soon as no column is connected to the additional subwoofer. Connect it to the existing PA system using an XLR cable from the Sub Out or System Out of your MAUI 44 G3 to the additional subwoofer's right input. Two XLR/jack combo inputs and three XLR outputs allow it to be integrated into the system. A dedicated digital mixer is not included.
Black enclosure for the stage
The robust enclosure is made from 18 mm birch plywood with a durable polyurea coating. A shock-resistant steel front grille protects the driver, while four ergonomic handles make it easier to carry. The black finish suits classic stage and PA equipment and complements the MAUI 44 G3 visually. This makes it a practical bass expansion for live bands, DJ events and event sound reinforcement.
