The AKG K240 MKII is a semi-open studio headphone with over-ear pads. It's versatile for recordings, live productions and mixing.
To evaluate a recording analytically, studio headphones reproduce music as neutrally as possible. Accordingly, the sound of the AKG K240 MKII is spatially detailed, with wide stereo imaging and good instrument depth separation.
The very natural bass response stems from the headphone's semi-open design. Because the housing allows some outward transmission, basses sound more open and less compressed than with closed headphones. In addition, semi-open headphones sufficiently shield the ear from disturbing external noise while offering better heat exchange.
Thanks to its low weight and soft ear pads, the AKG K240 MKII is very comfortable to wear. The pleasantly soft pads do not press on the ear and are barely noticeable during long sessions. For a perfect fit, the headband automatically adapts to the head. The ear pads are removable and can be cleaned easily with water.
The headphone cable of the AKG K240 MKII is detachable and can be replaced at any time.
Thanks to its low impedance and high sensitivity, the AKG K240 MKII is also suitable for mobile playback devices (smartphones) and USB interfaces.
Included are velour and synthetic leather ear pads, a jack adapter, a 3 m headphone cable and a 5 m coiled headphone cable!
