The headphone diaphragms of the AKG K612 PRO are thicker in the center than at the thin edge (AKG’s patented Varimotion technology). Compared to standard diaphragms, this improves vibration characteristics and results in significantly more precise impulse response. Especially the spatial imaging and depth layering benefit from this.
With open headphones, the housing is fully permeable to the outside. This creates a more spacious sound image that better matches natural listening habits. Additional advantages of the open design include better heat dissipation and the ability to perceive ambient sounds.
