The AKG K240 Studio is a semi-open studio headphone designed for mixing and recording. It offers a neutral and uncolored playback for reliable music assessment. The semi-open design combines the benefits of open and closed headphones. External noise is dampened, as is headphone bleed. At the same time, heat exchange is better than with a closed model, and the spatiality sounds more natural. The bass reproduction is clear and uncolored. Even at high volumes, the headphones operate distortion-free.
The special diaphragms are thicker in the center than at the thin edge (AKG's patented Varimotion technology). Compared to standard diaphragms, this improves vibration characteristics and results in a noticeably more precise transient response. The resulting stereo image allows for precise localization.
The over-ear ear pads provide excellent wearing comfort. The headband automatically adjusts to the size of your head. The cable connects via a mini-XLR connector and is easy to replace.
