Powerful and Efficient Design!

The versatile power amplifiers in the PX series combine intelligent signal processing with enormous output power for use in a wide range of sound reinforcement situations.

The PX-series models are based on a newly developed digital Class-D amplifier stage that provides all required functions on a single, specially designed LSI chip. Thanks to integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) technology, the PX amplifiers control signal transfer characteristics in real time for impressive playback quality and performance. The novel single-chip architecture allows the PX series to deliver higher output power and improved performance while keeping weight low and overall system reliability high. The combination of innovative technology and carefully selected components makes the PX amplifiers not only sonically impressive but also especially efficient, quiet and reliable.

The Amp Mode offers a choice of 15 pattern types for input and output routing, making the system simple to configure.

Advanced Signal Processing

The new PX-series amplifiers come standard with a parametric onboard equalizer, crossover filters, delay and limiter functions. The LC display allows quick and convenient system configuration.
In addition, all models feature Yamaha's intelligent D-CONTOUR multiband dynamic processing for consistent clarity and reproduction quality at any output level — selectable for FOH or monitor setups.

Simple, Intuitive Setup

To accommodate varying user experience levels, the PX series offers both a Basic and an Advanced setup mode. The Basic mode lets even inexperienced users configure the system easily, while advanced users gain more control over every tonal and playback aspect in Advanced mode. Each PX model includes eight programmable, storable and recallable presets to save setup time. Presets can also be saved to a USB drive and transferred to other PX amplifiers.

Equipped with XLR and 1/4" jack inputs, binding posts, SpeakON and jack outputs, the PX-series amplifiers provide the versatility needed for a wide range of applications. Thanks to a rugged chassis design and durable carrying handles, the PX series stands up to the rigors of life on the road.

Elegant Configuration Assistant

For time-saving system setup, the integrated configuration assistant lets you select optimized speaker settings to perfectly match your system — simply choose the appropriate filter and crossover frequency for each speaker and the assistant does the rest. The assistant also includes specific presets for every Yamaha passive speaker*, including the widely used CBR, Club, Install and VXS/VXC series. In Advanced mode the configuration assistant offers additional options for input routing, input sensitivity, gain and speaker impedance.
