Powerful and Efficient Design!

The versatile power amplifiers in the PX series combine intelligent signal processing with enormous output power to meet the demands of a wide range of sound reinforcement situations.

The PX models are built around a newly developed digital Class-D amplifier stage that provides all necessary functions on a single, custom-designed LSI chip. Thanks to integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) technology, the PX amps control signal transmission characteristics in real time for impressive reproduction quality and performance. The novel single-chip architecture enables higher output power and improved performance while keeping weight low and system reliability high. The combination of innovative technology and carefully selected components makes the PX amplifiers not only sonically impressive but also highly efficient, quiet and reliable.

The Amp Mode offers a choice of 15 pattern types for input & output routing, making the system simple to configure.

Advanced Signal Processing

The new PX amplifiers come standard with an onboard parametric EQ, crossover filters, delay and limiter functions. The LC display allows fast and comfortable system configuration.
In addition, all models feature Yamaha’s intelligent D-CONTOUR multiband dynamic signal processing for consistent clarity and reproduction quality at any output level — selectable for FOH and monitor setups.

Simple, Intuitive Setup

To suit different user experience levels, the PX series offers both a Basic and an Advanced setup mode. Basic mode lets even inexperienced users configure the system easily, while Advanced mode gives experienced users full control over every tonal and playback aspect. Each PX model includes eight programmable, storable and recallable presets to save significant setup time. Presets can also be saved to a USB storage device and transferred to other PX amplifiers.

Flexible Connections, Robust Construction

Equipped with XLR and jack inputs, binding posts, Speakon and jack outputs, the PX amplifiers provide the variety needed for a wide range of applications. Thanks to the rugged enclosure design and durable carry handles, the PX series easily withstands the rigors of life on the road.

Elegant Configuration Assistant

To save setup time, the integrated Configuration Assistant lets you select optimized speaker settings for perfect adaptation to your system — just pick the appropriate filter and crossover frequency for each speaker and the assistant does the rest. The assistant also includes specific presets for every passive Yamaha speaker*, including popular CBR, Club, Install and VXS/VXC series models. In Advanced mode the Configuration Assistant offers additional options for input routing, input sensitivity, gain and speaker impedance.
