While you play the keyboard, accompaniment rhythms (styles) automatically add a full band. From the very first moment, entire ensembles come to life, inspiring new creative ideas. This way, you can constantly improve your performance and use the EK-50 perfectly for your musical sketches.
Styles That Support Your Performance
With the automatic accompaniment styles, you can call up complete backing bands by playing just one note or a simple chord with your left hand. The accompaniment changes with every new note or chord, while you freely improvise or invent new melodies with your right hand. With just one finger, you start versatile accompaniments and hundreds of songs.
The EK-50’s built-in styles cover more than 280 international musical genres, each offering four variations from simple to complex, plus an intro and ending to round off your songs. To give your performance the perfect polish, you can switch all options in sync with the rhythm via buttons.
When changing styles, the "STS" (Single Touch Setting) function automatically selects the matching sounds and creates a perfect combination of sound and style, fully set up and ready to go, so you can focus on learning, composing, and playing music.
Play A Wide Range Of Tones
The EK-50 offers over 700 realistic sounds, including pianos, violins, synthesizers, saxophones, and drums, which you can easily select and play immediately, whether solo or in a band performance. The split function lets you divide the keyboard to play piano with your right hand and bass with your left, for example. This allows for countless sound combinations with high fun potential.
Easy-To-Understand Operating Concept
The display in the center of the control panel shows the selected sound and style names in large, easy-to-read letters. The most important switches are illuminated by integrated LEDs, providing immediate information about the current function settings. The special "Grand Piano" button instantly takes you back to the initial concert grand piano sound, regardless of the currently selected sound.
Built-In Speakers For Optimal Sound Enjoyment
The built-in, powerful 2 x 10 watt stereo speakers not only reproduce the EK-50’s instrument sounds in impressive quality but also the sounds of external devices like smartphones or tablets connected to the audio input jack. Thanks to the included music stand and power adapter, the EK-50 is ready to play right out of the box. With separately available AA batteries, you can even use the keyboard on the go for the perfect start!
Practical Music Styles Function
The EK-50’s 64 "Music Styles" support every one of your favorite songs with complete sets of preset styles, sounds, and tempos. These directly selectable, tailor-made settings form the ideal basis for improvisation or developing new song ideas.
Play Back Your Favorite Songs On The Instrument And Play Along
New song ideas can also be recorded and saved with the EK-50. In song mode, you can play your own compositions, internal demo songs, as well as MP3 and WAV audio files stored on a USB stick or SMF (Standard MIDI File) data, and even play along yourself.
Expand The Instrument With Styles From The Extensive KORG Library
The EK-50 can be expanded with up to 96 additional styles via USB stick. The already large, free KORG style database will continue to grow in the future. We regularly update available styles on KORG.de.
