Bring the Wide Nordic World Into Your Living Room!

For fans of Celtic (and naturally other) music, the Classic Cantabile 22-string Celtic Harp delivers feel-good tones for everyone.

Typical Design

What marks the Celtic harp is the gracefully curved shape of the column, the same motif you can find on the Irish coat of arms. This hook harp, crafted from walnut, spans 3 octaves (a - a³).

Tuning

The 22 strings are tuned diatonically to E-flat Major, with the blue and red strings showing where the C and F notes lie. By flipping up the individual hooks you can quickly retune the harp to another key, which makes it very flexible for playing with others. For first attempts and easier learning, a C tuning is of course also possible. Two tuning keys are used to tune the instrument: the square key fits the tuning pegs, while the hex key serves the fine tuners on the opposite side.

Lever Mechanism

The harp's special mechanism turns it into a versatile companion across different keys. Each string is equipped with a semitone lever that, when engaged, raises the pitch of that string by a semitone. That way, with just a few moves you're ready for any sharp key.

To avoid transport damage, the harp ships with the levers folded up. For use, you first fold them all down so the strings can vibrate freely. In that state the harp is tuned to C Major, and it's perfectly normal for the strings to require frequent retuning in the first weeks. Once the strings have stretched sufficiently, however, the tuning will hold much longer.

Includes Padded Bag

The softly padded bag not only gives your instrument plenty of protection from dust and scratches, the outer pocket even holds both tuning keys and additional accessories.

Simply Heavenly!
