With the Gold Series, Cort presents a fully solid acoustic guitar line featuring thermally treated ("torrified") tops and bracing. Cort calls this process "Age To Vintage," which simulates the aging of the top over decades. This delivers from the start that wonderfully full, overtone-rich, and balanced tone known from old, well-played instruments. The very thin UV finish of the Gold Series supports the guitar’s excellent resonance properties. Additionally, the "Doublelock Neckjoint" was developed as another key element for optimal sound, improving vibration transfer by bolting the neck to the body.

Solid, Thermally Treated Premium Sitka Spruce Top & Solid Mahogany Body

Mahogany is for good reason one of the most popular woods for backs and sides in guitar making. It delivers a full and pleasant tone with pronounced mids.

Reinforced Neck-Body Joint

The connection between neck and body is one of the key points of any guitar. In the Gold Series, the classic dovetail joint is additionally bolted, significantly improving the instrument’s vibration transfer.

The neck of the Gold Series is reinforced at the neck-body joint with two strips of walnut wood. These provide extra stability to the neck area.
