Marshall MG15GFX - The Nonplus Ultra Of Programmable 15-Watt Combos!

With the same controls as its bigger brother the MG30GFX, the MG15GFX isn’t your average practice combo. It not only delivers outstanding sound quality, but all control and switching functions (except master volume) are fully programmable.

It’s loaded with the most popular digital effects (2 reverbs, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser and octaver) that can be operated with an external programmable footswitch. That makes it attractive even to seasoned pros looking for a compact, affordable and extremely versatile studio combo.

Four Channels For Stylistic Freedom

The MG15GFX features four independent analog channels that can be perfectly matched to each other, since all parameters are freely programmable. Each channel is controlled with the same set of knobs, keeping the amp’s control surface simple, intuitive and uncluttered. For Clean, Crunch, OD1 and OD2 the tone controls still operate in their own frequency ranges, allowing completely distinct and independent core sounds.

When the amp is in "Preset" mode, every setting for each channel is saved separately, so the channel’s last setup including its effects is preserved. In "Manual" mode, switching between channels uses the currently set settings. The "Direct Sound Access" feature lets you access the current sounds directly in both modes at any time.

Classic Adjustable Master Volume

Although originally intended as a practice combo for home use, the MG15GFX is so practically designed that you can easily take it on stage. That’s why the master volume remains classically adjustable, so you always have direct control over level independent of the programmed patches. If you need more headroom, you can connect an active monitor or the PA to the emulated headphone jack.

Effect Sounds In Reference Quality

The MG15GFX’s digital effects set a new standard for sound quality—chorus, phaser, flanger, octaver and delay easily hold their own against high-end modern studio gear. Each of these effects can be refined with the two outstanding reverb programs.

Also very practical is the intelligent delay adaptation: when you switch to a channel without delay the echo is allowed to decay naturally; when switching to a sound with the same delay time the delay level is crossfaded; and when switching to a channel with a different delay time the new delay setting is applied immediately. The same adaptation is built in for the separately adjustable reverb. The delay time is stored via the tap function and indicated by an LED.
