I don't know how the pickups sound as we swapped them for the black covered ones which just improve the look.
Remember and connect the ground wire to the bridge post, the hole is not obvious!

Guitar Body of RR kit is Mahogany or Basswood?
On your site is Mahogany but on Amazon and in other site is indicated Basswood.

There was a change concerning the wood a short time ago. Earlier it was basswood - now it's mahogany. On the pictures it looks pretty bright, like basswood. But it's definitely mahogany.
