The Player II Stratocaster HSS embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-famous design, but under the hood it's thoroughly modern. Every detail is optimized for fluid playability. The neck features a modern C profile with a silky-satin urethane back finish and a maple or rosewood-slab fretboard with a 9.5" radius, softly rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. For the finish you can choose between beloved timeless Fender colors and newly revived vintage shades pulled fresh from the archive.
Glassy, bell-like Player Series Alnico V Strat single-coils and a full-throated Player Series Alnico II bridge humbucker deliver crystalline highs, musical mids and punchy lows. The 5-way switch lets you dial in a wide variety of combinations for practically endless tonal possibilities. Strings run over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles.
