The new DM-8 e-drum set from NUX is designed for semi-pros and pros. Silent practice and performing with an authentic playing experience – this formula is realized by NUX engineers at their well-known price-performance ratio.

The DM-8 features a sturdy rack system, and its pads as well as the kick pad are covered with mesh heads whose tension can be adjusted to your liking, delivering rebound behavior that feels just like a real drum set. The authentic playing feel is further enhanced by the free-standing hi-hat, which can be played in open, closed, or half-open settings. The also free-standing snare, equipped with the latest 3-point trigger technology, allows for versatile and highly dynamic rimshot or cross-stick techniques.

The newly designed free-standing 10" kick can also fully handle a double bass drum pedal.

The new kick pedal features a double chain drive and a reinforced base plate. The double chain design ensures more stable beater movement, while the thicker base plate prevents the entire pedal from shifting.

Module

The crowning feature of the DM-8 is its clearly laid-out control interface, which lets you precisely shape the sound mix using individual group faders. Besides 30 pre-installed hi-fi drum sets, you can also load your own drum samples. The module also serves as an interface for other DAW and MIDI applications.

The new DM-8 sound module is packed with innovations and striking features, including group faders that assign audio levels to each individual pad. Easily create your own drum mixes! 30 drum kits with various styles are included. Regardless of drum style, you can achieve the desired sounds. Intuitive and powerful tone-shaping functions allow users to freely edit their own drum kits. You can assign each sound to the rim or the head.

USB Audio Interface

The DM-8 module also functions as an audio interface, sending stereo audio and MIDI data via USB to a Mac or Windows computer. This lets you record discrete audio and MIDI drum tracks in any DAW or trigger sounds from software-based drum instruments for studio or live use. Want to record more than one stereo pair? No problem. You can record up to 14 separate audio tracks in your favorite DAW.

With the DM-8, you can import your own WAV samples via a USB flash drive. Now you can build your dream kit with your favorite samples and assign them to any pad for playing.

Start jamming! The DM-8 offers a wide selection of built-in songs to jam along with, including a dynamic variety of music styles for every type of drummer.

Practice makes perfect! Record your solo drum performances on a USB stick or upload your favorite backing track, play along, and save it as a WAV file to analyze your playing by listening to the full mix.
