Very Lightweight Djembe with Rich Sound!

XDrum delivers the sound of West Africa in a modern, lightweight version. Using a durable plastic head and an easy-to-use tuning system makes this goblet drum a popular and straightforward percussion instrument.

Body Made of PVC

The shell of the djembe is produced in a patented process from PVC plastic, making the entire drum significantly lighter than its wooden counterparts. However, it does not fall short in sound: deep bass and crisp slaps can be produced just as well as sensitive strokes. The lower edge is rubberized to prevent scratches on the floor.

Made in Bali!

The percussion instruments of the XDrum Bali series are traditionally handcrafted.

Simple Tuning System

Unlike traditional djembes, which are tensioned with ropes, this instrument features 6 tuning screws, similar to those found on bongos or congas. This allows even beginners to easily and quickly achieve perfect tuning. The required wrench is, of course, included.

The Drumhead

The XDrum djembe is fitted with a plastic head that is visually and acoustically hardly distinguishable from a goatskin head. The advantage of the synthetic head is that it is much less sensitive to temperature fluctuations and humidity.
