Each Zildjian cymbal made of cast bronze is individually poured from the secret Zildjian alloy developed almost 400 years ago. Skilled cymbal smiths use surface techniques that have stood the test of centuries to create unique cymbals played by the world's finest drummers and percussionists.
The deep, dry and shimmering sound developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century still inspires drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathing shape the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide tonal range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound either soft or intense.
