The deep, dry, and shimmering sound developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century still inspires drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathing shape the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide sonic range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound soft or intense.
