Experienced cymbal smiths apply surface techniques that have proven themselves for centuries, creating unique cymbals played by the world's top drummers and percussionists.
The deep, dry and shimmering tone developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century still inspires drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathe work shapes the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide sonic range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound either mellow or intense.
