The new Clavinova CVP-700 series also combines the sounds of two world-class concert grands—the CFX, Yamaha's finest concert grand, and the Bösendorfer Imperial—into a single digital piano.

Tuned to perfection by highly experienced piano technicians and sampled note-by-note for every key, the new Clavinova series captures the unique character of these outstanding concert grands perfectly. Thanks to Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), you have access to the full range of these acoustic instruments, as even the finest tonal nuances are reproduced.

A Real Piano Deserves a Real Touch

The GH3X keyboard uses a hammer action (without springs) similar to a grand piano. It can faithfully reproduce the feel of an acoustic instrument with heavier touch on the lower keys and a lighter touch on the higher keys. The GH3X keyboard features a three-sensor configuration that provides touch and response very similar to a grand piano keyboard.

The new GH3X keyboard also simulates the slight resistance ("touch point") you feel on an acoustic grand when a key is pressed very gently.

Synthetic ivory keytops reproduce the pleasant surface of genuine ivory keys once used on the finest pianos. The highly absorbent material retains its optimal surface and comfortable grip even after hours of performance, preventing your fingers from slipping. In addition to the soft, luxurious feel, synthetic ivory is low maintenance and only needs to be cleaned with a soft cloth.

Clavinova Is Ready for Your Session

In Session Mode you can invite three other musicians to join you in the Piano Room. They automatically follow your playing harmonically, either in Full Keyboard Mode or Split Mode—and with the Dynamics Control feature they even adjust their volume to match the musical expression of your performance. In the new Piano Room you can make a recording of your performance including the session players at the touch of a button.

The Sound Is So Real. You Won't Believe It Comes From a Keyboard

Yamaha's Super Articulation Voices enrich your playing with authentic tonal characteristics of acoustic instruments that sound as if they were played by a real instrumentalist rather than generated by a keyboard. These include fret noises, body thumps on guitars, breath noises and wind instrument glissandi. By simply varying your touch and playing techniques or using the pedals, the Super Articulation Voices add even more realism to your performance.

Just choose the song you want from the Music Finder file and your CVP will load the correct settings so you can start playing immediately. The Style Recommender is an intelligent feature that selects matching accompaniment styles based on what you play. You don't need to know the song title—the rhythm alone is enough. Play just 1 or 2 bars of the rhythm or piano accompaniment and a selection of suitable styles will be displayed immediately.

Sing karaoke with the internal songs stored on your Clavinova or those you downloaded from Yamaha MusicSoft.com. The lyrics are shown on the display and change color when it's time for you to sing. You can also display the lyrics on a large TV so everyone can sing along. Plug in a microphone and you can sing to your playing right away.

The CVP-700 series is unmatched when it comes to learning, entertainment and creativity thanks to a wide selection of features such as guide lights, recording options and wireless connectivity. The CVP-700 series is compatible with various iOS apps, including Chord Tracker. This app detects the chord progression of an audio song on your iOS device and transfers it to the Clavinova.
