The beautiful sound of the Kawai SK-EX concert grand is the heart of the new CA901. You can now find it in two versions. As with the previous model, the SK-EX Concert Grand, and now also the SK-EX COMPETITION GRAND.

The new SK-EX COMPETITION GRAND sound was newly and meticulously sampled from an SK-EX concert grand of the latest generation selected for international competitions. Multiple microphone positions captured the sound of this special grand with all its nuances, characterized by a more powerful tone and greater dynamic range. The subsequent mixing of the different microphone positions is aligned to the player’s position, unlike the SK-EX Concert Grand, which sounds more like from the audience’s perspective.

Impressive Appearance

The CA901 impresses not only with its many inner qualities. Its modern design is also an eye-catcher. The sophisticated look reinterprets classic piano design. The slim side profile, high-quality craftsmanship, and slowly closing key cover complete the elegant overall appearance. Better ergonomics were also considered. For example, the pedal position is shifted further back, allowing for improved playing ergonomics.

Exceptional Keyboard

The CA901 is equipped with the Grand Feel III mechanism with wooden keys, enabling an exceptionally realistic playing feel. The key length of the Grand Feel III keyboard (from the front edge of the key to the balance rail pin) is longer than any other digital piano keyboard. All eighty-eight black and white keys are made entirely from long wooden parts. Like on a grand piano, each key moves smoothly on a balance rail. When a key is struck, a weighted hammer moves upward, just like the original. Additionally, the triple sensor system ensures optimal repetition and playing control.

TwinDrive Soundboard System

With the TwinDrive Soundboard System, Kawai has succeeded in reproducing a wide frequency range directly through the soundboard. The rear soundboard is set into vibration by two AURES transducers, so no additional bass speakers are needed. The result is a radiation behavior like that of a real piano and the best possible acoustic reproduction of the piano sound. This system is based on the natural resonance of acoustic pianos and is therefore far superior to the principle of normal speaker systems.

In addition to hi-end audio signal routing, digital amplifiers, and a high-quality headphone amplifier, the CA901 is also equipped with 6 speakers and 360-degree diffusers for the upward-facing speakers as part of its unique soundboard system. These specially developed components create a sound experience that distributes the natural sound throughout the room, allowing listeners to hear just as the player does, without any loss of quality.

Bluetooth Audio/MIDI

In addition to the USB-to-host connection, the CA901 is also equipped with Bluetooth® MIDI 5.0 technology, enabling wireless communication with smart devices (e.g., smartphone or tablet). This gives you the ability to comfortably use a wide range of music-related apps such as the Kawai PianoRemote app or the PiaBookPlayer app in conjunction with your CA901 digital piano. Or simply use the Bluetooth® Audio 5.1 interface. Just connect your smartphone to the CA901, and you can enjoy all your music directly through the CA901’s speaker system. This is especially recommended for play-along or listening to instructional videos.

Touchscreen Operation

The CA901 features a 5" touchscreen with an anti-glare surface. All functions can be easily operated this way. Additionally, you can control the CA901 via the PianoRemote app available for Android and iOS, which essentially mirrors the internal system. The display can completely turn off when inactive, so you are less distracted while playing.

USB To Device Functionality with MP3/WAV Recording and Playback

The CA901 is equipped with USB ports that not only allow you to exchange MIDI data with a connected computer. For example, you can also save data directly to a USB storage device. Direct playback of songs by your favorite artists in MP3 or WAV format is also possible. You can record your own playing in MP3 or WAV format and, for example, email it to your friends, listen to the songs on a smartphone or PC, or burn them to CD on your PC.

This piano bench offers high-quality features alongside its elegant appearance, such as sturdy legs with non-slip rubber feet, a smooth, precise spindle mechanism for height adjustment, and a durable, comfortable seat covered in velour. The sophisticated spindle mechanism with a double scissor system guarantees smooth and extremely durable height adjustment. Small details like rubber stoppers between the base frame and support frame clearly distinguish this beautiful piano bench from others in this price range.

Headphones

The Pronomic KH-900 is a professional stereo headphone that combines excellent sound characteristics with maximum wearing comfort at an affordable price. The soft, wide faux leather headband automatically adjusts to the head size, ensuring a comfortable fit. The KH-900 features a wide frequency range from 15 to 25,000 Hz, delivering balanced, nuanced sound with brilliant, clear highs and precise, rich bass. Thanks to the low impedance of only 32 ohms, the KH-900 can deliver powerful sound and sufficient power reserves even on very low-powered headphone outputs, such as MP3 players or smartphones. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug provides excellent transmission quality. A 6.3 mm stereo jack adapter is also included.

Piano School

The instrument is introduced and explained to beginners in a playful, relaxed way. Starting with familiar, simple melodies up to playing complete songs with both hands, various theoretical knowledge is also conveyed alongside.
