The unique sounds of these pianos are characterized by rich overtones and lively resonances created by the vibrations of the strings and soundboard, responding authentically to articulation and pedal use. With an even greater range of dynamic expression, the Clavinova pianos offer richer tonal nuances than ever before.

Moreover, the sounds of these famous pianos were created using binaural sampling. Even when listening through headphones, the voices sound natural and full, preserving the acoustic sound to such an extent that you almost forget the sound is not coming directly from the instrument itself.

Keyboard Close to That of a Grand Piano

Each of the white wooden keys of the GrandTouch keyboard is made from a single block of solid wood. Yamaha’s wood processing techniques were specially developed for building acoustic pianos to make the keyboard less prone to warping. This results in keys that offer a robust playing feel.

The CLP-875 features 88 keys (Linear Graded Hammers), with each key having its own weight and individual feedback, making the entire keyboard feel like that of a grand piano. Additionally, the instrument has a GP Response damper that delivers a damper pedal feel similar to that of a grand piano. These features help convey a sense of precise key action and perfect pedal control.
