To enable an authentic playing experience, the developers at Classic Cantabile equipped the DP-230 with a hammer action keyboard modeled after a real piano keyboard. It lets all notes ring out, while the middle sostenuto pedal sustains only notes already played. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and creates a softer sound.
