Pearl at Kirstein

Pearl was founded by Katsumi Yanagisawa in Tokyo in 1946. From a small workshop initially producing music stands, the company developed into an international musical instrument manufacturer with a clear focus on drums and percussion. Today, its range extends from complete drum kits and snare drums to professional hardware. This allows beginners as well as experienced live and studio drummers to build a setup using components from the same brand.

Which Pearl drum kit is right for you?

When choosing a Pearl drum kit, it is worth considering your playing level, intended use and required equipment first. The Export series is an established range for beginners and advancing players. Depending on the model, complete configurations with hardware and cymbals are available, making them a practical choice for anyone who wants to start playing without assembling every component separately.

The Decade Maple series is aimed at drummers looking to move up to shells made entirely from maple. Its thin six-ply maple shells combine a clear attack with a resonant fundamental character, making the series suitable for ambitious practice, rehearsals and live performances. Above this range are professional series such as Masters Maple Pure and Masterworks. Masters Maple Pure draws on the classic Masters tradition with four-ply maple shells and reinforcement rings, while Masterworks offers extensive options for individual configuration.

Snare drums at the heart of your sound

The snare has a major influence on the response, dynamics and character of a drum kit. Pearl offers various series and constructions, including Masters, Reference, Sensitone, Philharmonic, Free Floating and Signature models. Different shell materials, sizes and constructions provide different sonic characteristics. This gives you the option of complementing an existing kit with a carefully selected snare or adding a second snare for alternative sounds.

Pearl hardware for a coordinated drum setup

Alongside drums, hardware is an important part of Pearls product range. It includes cymbal and hi-hat stands, tom holders, drum thrones and various pedal systems. For regular rehearsals, studio sessions or live performances, stability, useful adjustment options and a mechanism that suits your playing style are important considerations.

Eliminator, Eliminator Redline, Demonator and Demon Drive are among Pearls well-known bass drum pedal ranges. The right pedal depends on factors such as the preferred drive system, adjustment options and playing feel. Pearl also offers different seating solutions, allowing the playing position to be adapted to the individual drum setup.

Pearl for beginners, stage and studio

The broad range of series makes it easier to choose according to your playing level. Export is suitable for beginners and players looking for a comprehensively equipped acoustic kit. Decade Maple represents an interesting next step for drummers with higher expectations regarding wooden shells and equipment. Masters Maple Pure and Masterworks are more closely geared towards professional applications and individual sound preferences. A Pearl setup can therefore be selected to suit your current level and expanded later with snare drums or hardware.
