All-Solid Tonewood Combination

The solid Sitka spruce top provides brilliant highs and quick response, while the solid mahogany back and sides deliver warm mids and a powerful bass foundation. This classic tonewood combination is known for its versatility and is ideal for singer-songwriters, folk, rock and pop. The scalloped bracing construction further supports an open sound with deep bass and rich overtones.

A.R.E. for a Matured Tone

Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement treatment gives the wood tonal characteristics usually found only in instruments that have been played in for decades. The result is an especially resonant tone with long sustain and natural warmth—right from the first note.

Refined Appointments and Playing Comfort

An ebony fingerboard, bridge and bridge pins, a bone nut and a bone saddle ensure precise intonation and optimal vibration transfer. The high-gloss finish emphasizes the classic appearance and protects the instrument for the long term. Thanks to its ergonomic neck profile, the Yamaha FG5 offers comfortable playability across the entire fingerboard.

To ensure you enjoy this instrument for years, it has been inspected and pre-set by Kirstein quality control. This is carried out in our guitar workshop by our guitar technicians. We guarantee the flawless condition on a certificate that is enclosed with the instrument.
