Traditional Cajones With Modern Sound!
These finely crafted cajones from XDrum's "Peruana" series, featuring a 9 mm birch body and snare effect, deliver (besides their impressive design) sounds of the highest caliber.
Size and Construction
The cajon is made from a 7-ply birch body with a thickness of 9 mm. The neatly glued individual pieces reveal a beautiful grain; rounded corners and edges not only look great but also feel comfortable. The Peruana design on the playing surface underlines the connection to the South American homeland of the instrument. With a seating area of approx. 31 x 30 cm and a height of approx. 48 cm, the cajon offers excellent seating and playing comfort.
Adjustable Snare Effect and Clap Corners
Four bronze-wound strings on the inside of the playing surface provide the characteristic snare sound of these box drums. To adapt the intensity of the effect to personal taste, the string tension can be adjusted with the included internal hex key. The key itself is stored in the box so it won't get lost.
Because the playing surface is fully screwed on, the clap corners can be very finely dosed with a screwdriver, allowing for an incredible richness of sound.
Included Bag
Included is a bag made of durable nylon material with 1 cm thick padding to optimally protect your cajon. A 33 x 26 cm outer pocket offers enough storage space for sheet music, small shakers and other accessories. Besides the classic carry handle on top, this gigbag even comes with a backpack setup. That way you can take your cajon by bike, scooter or on foot to where you lay down the groove!
