Powerfully Attractive, This Natural-Wood Marvel!
The RB-400N is truly a hot piece. From the very first glance, bassists who also enjoy heavier lineups will know this is no casual fling. Not only outdoorsy types in lumberjack shirts will be thrilled by the massive, fantastically balanced body, which nevertheless presents itself surprisingly light on its feet!
Full And Rich In Overtones
The Lumberjack bass delivers a full, overtone-rich sound that will have a celebratory, rowdy crowd sweating on the dance floor. At the same time, the bassist stays effortlessly composed thanks to the smooth playability and surprising lightness of this electric bass, allowing them to soak up the full force of the crowd's euphoria.
Set-In Neck With Rosewood Fretboard And Perloid Inlays
The traditional set-in neck construction is prized by many musicians for its sustain-enhancing qualities. Ergonomically and visually the glued joint works perfectly. The neck is slim and very playable. One of this bass's visual highlights is the rosewood fretboard: Perloid inlays that integrate seamlessly into the overall RB-400N design.
Pickups
The large body is a great source of sustain and is equipped with two pickups. Both pickups — a humbucker in a chrome housing at the neck and a single coil with a chrome cover at the bridge — each have their own volume and tone controls. The neck pickup provides the fuller, bassier sounds, while the bridge pickup delivers the harder, overtone-rich tones.
Stylishly Confident Design
Visually, the RB-400N is a real eye-catcher. The bass is made for driving gigs and edgy players who want to treat themselves to something nice without committing to a single style.

Now found a copy of it. With a few handles dark purple sprayed and reversed the phases of the neck PU. Very powerful, offensive, full sound in all PU circuits. Convinces all along the line. And with my color upgrade an eye-catcher of the most beautiful variety.
For a good EUR 133 incredibly great sound and play quality.
Absolute buy recommendation for lovers of stylish and massive bass pleasure.

For the price I expected a project and that’s what I got.
The clear finnish revealed som minor flaws, like a big chunk of wood filler, but that don't bother me at all.
The bridge was ok, but I replaced it with a high mass bridge,
The nut was probably the worst crap I have ever seen on a cheap instrument, but was easy to replace.
Had a good go at the sharp fret ends and the fretboard felt really dry and needed a dash of oil.
The original pickups worked fine but "J" pickup didn't look right for me, and since I had some Epiphone TB pickups laying around...
Conclusion.
For the money it's a fair instrument, and for only like € 50 worth of hardware it got a lot better fast.

In my opinion, you can definitely get pretty close to the sound of the original model on some songs. I’ve had more expensive basses that don’t quite manage that. I’d recommend that “beginners” ask acquaintances, friends, or bandmates if they can help with the adjustments mentioned above, so that playing this beautiful bass is fun right from the start.
Otherwise, it’s worth noting that the staff at Kirstein are always ready to help with any problems, no matter what they may be.
Thanks also to Kirstein.
