Tuning Display with Needle Simulation Plus Large Note and String Name Display

KORG’s meter needle quickly and reliably shows the detected pitch. Additional help comes from the display, about four times larger, for perfectly legible note and string name indication. Red and green LEDs also indicate any deviations or correct tuning.

Compact and Lightweight Housing

The CA-2 is roughly the size of a credit card – so you can and should always carry it with you. The rounded housing fits comfortably in your hand and looks really sharp thanks to the accentuated battery compartment. A new mechanism allows battery replacement by sliding the entire housing – no more lost battery covers.

Huge Detection Range – Suitable for Almost All Instruments

The CA-2 covers the note range A0~C8, making it suitable for a wide variety of woodwind, string, keyboard, and other instruments. If you usually can’t tune your instrument under ideal conditions, consider purchasing the CM-200 contact microphone, which transmits your instrument’s vibrations directly to the tuner.

Markers for Pure Major and Minor Thirds

Especially in chords for orchestral or brass parts, poorly played notes stand out unpleasantly. The solution is a slight pitch correction of the major or minor third. Thanks to a special display feature, you no longer have to rely solely on your ear for this correction: the CA-2’s meter scale shows the pure major and minor third intervals relative to the selected pitch. Use this feature to contribute to the harmonious sound of your ensemble.

Flexibly Adjustable A440 Frequency

The calibration function (410~480Hz) can be set in 1Hz steps so your instrument sounds clean at any reference pitch or key.

"Sound Out" Function for Outputting Reference Tones via Internal Speaker

Musicians who don’t want to rely solely on a display can play reference tones in the range C4~C5 in Sound Out mode.

±1200 Hours of Continuous Tuning

Thanks to its highly efficient design, two AAA batteries provide 100 hours (zinc-carbon) or 200 hours (alkaline) of continuous operation.
