Recommendation

I have ordered this preserving machine for brewing beer. A first test already shows: about 7 liters of water boil very well and "flowing" after 25 minutes. Yesterday then took place the first brewing session. Conclusion: The temperature display is only useful for hop boiling, during mashing there are sometimes temperature differences of 5-10 degrees compared to the thermometer. However, this is probably due to the mash covering the thermostat at the bottom of the pot somewhat. With vigorous stirring, the difference to the true temperature gets a little better. The temperature holding and resting we but a little harder. Overall, I am very satisfied and especially enthusiastic about the heating performance. Brewing without additional immersion heater is possible!

I use the appliance for brewing beer. To achieve the desired temperature, you have to set the machine a little higher, so if a certain temperature is important, you just have to measure it. But it works, presumably other machines have the same problem.

I chose the machine mainly because it can boil for a long time without switching off at any point. This seems to be a problem with some competitors, according to various brewers' forums. This machine does not have this problem, which is why I can recommend it without reservation.

I haven't tried whether it can keep mulled wine warm and sterilize glasses, but I'm confident that it can 😉

Our GWK-16A was delivered very quickly. The appliance was securely packed in an extra box. The appliance is 16 liters wide but not as tall as its big brother. As we want to pasteurize our fruit juice, e.g. from windfall fruit, the small stove is just right for us.
As suggested in the description, we first boiled the stove on the highest setting. Then we made our first apple juice and pasteurized it using the stove. It turned out that a brighter place should be chosen to set the stove, as the dials are difficult to read. But that was no problem for us. With its 2000 W, the GWK-16A quickly reached the required temperature. We then set the time. During this time, the stove maintained the temperature. A gong signal then indicated the end of the set time. The heating stopped. The finished juice could be easily tapped through the tap without the tap dripping. To get the last liters out of the stove, we held the appliance at an angle. The remaining juice ran off and the foam remained in the pot.
Cleaning is also very easy thanks to the stainless steel. We are very satisfied all round.

Fast and neat delivery, the mulled wine stove is absolutely fine for the price, after using it twice so far no negative experience with the device, it does what it should.
