I have had experience with multiple microphones. I usually record extreme vocals, but often track vocals and vocal recordings in DAW.

In my search for a cheap alternative I found this mic. Very lucky, I have to say honestly. I would not trade this mic for any other (at least from USB League). Here's a quick "why".

From first glance you can see a quality level. It is quite clear to me that there is a bit of engineering behind the mic and they tried to get the most out of the budget. Finish very clean and pleasing and seems...yet not a copy of any other mic. Grill is very clean and tight - I found no defects that are so common with other products. Microphone is a bit light and the case "feels" quite loud and tinny in the hand (is exactly the same or much worse with other mics), but the components are very well matched to each other - nothing wobbles and nothing makes any extraneous noise. The housing is really robust in my opinion and you won't find better for the money. I became calmly say - built to last. Very positive impression.

Inside everything is also in order - clean processing and assembling. Some little things here I have not seen in any other microphone. Cable sits very well inside, USB connector is very solid and I don't worry about it falling out or breaking. Firm, clean, safe.

The diaphragm is the same 16 mm as the Audio Technika unit, which costs three times as much, and looks very similar - right down to the foam on the diaphragm. Up to the membrane I have not disassembled the microphone, but it is easy to see that the neatly installed.

Last but not least - the sound. Please do not expect sensitivity from large diaphragm microphones with phantom power! But I never understood the requirement that from 10 meters away you still want to record clearly without noise. At 100% the sensitivity is still high enough to pick up from some distance (up to 1m I would say; microphone will still hear you from 10 meters, but I don't call that normal operation). Thanks to the impressively low noise level, it's also an option. So, I don't hear any noticeable noise even at 100% (which is never my level when recording). In my opinion, the mic is very well balanced - it's sensitive enough to allow multiple recording situations, yet not too high, so you can get louder and closer to the mic. A nice capsule is inside, as the signal remains undistorted even when brutally roaring in mm distance from the microphone! So, somehow the M910 manages to have the resolution and detail of a condenser mic and the power handling of a dynamic mic. By the way, very often with other USB mics I heard a kind of artificial (digital) treble - the sound reminds of 8-bit treble with unpleasant hiss - if you know what I mean. But not with M910. Since it's about a smaller diaphragm - the amplitude response is very linear and delivers the voice just as naturally.

So, with this microphone it is possible to get high quality recordings very fast, easy and for little money. I think that this microphone gives an example of the optimum - if you really want more quality - invest in really expensive microphones. If you want more than sufficient quality - look no further. Quality for money - excellent. A standing ovation from me, Pronomic. I just hope the standard stays at this level until I buy another Exeplar.

This mic is perfect for my small PC and podcast studio. It is mega easy to install, just plug it into the PC USB port, the PC recognizes it immediately. The microphone sounds very warm and neutral, no noise, no annoying hum, nothing. I am very satisfied with it.
