Customer ratings for Pronomic MC6-400 Power Amplifier 6x 600 Watt

I have replaced my 3 old iron pigs (Solton and T-amp), which I use at home on a CX3400 for monitoring, with the mc6-400, after one of them regularly switched off after about 1 hour at a slightly higher level due to overheating...

The sound of the mc6-400 is much better than expected, even better than that of the old iron pigs, the power is more than sufficient and even after longer sessions the amp only gets a little over hand warm. Perfect! That's how I imagined it.
The fan noise doesn't bother me at all, you can only hear it when the room is quiet, but when is it ever....?! ;-)

Positive:
Good output, no noise. (Mixer noises far more than the amp) Well equipped with low- and hipass filters. Bridge operation is also possible. Compared to Crown, Yamaha and Chinese amps from other mail order companies, I don't hear any noticeable distortion or frequency deviations.
Fans are pleasantly quiet. They do get louder when they are running continuously, but that doesn't bother me.

Negative:
The front air intake has no grille or felt. When installing it in the rack, I dropped a screw into the amp. You urgently need to improve this.
No 2 ohm operation. But this is not to be expected for the price.
The potentiometers on the front are not really stable and not very comfortable. This is negligible. They are always at full stop anyway.

...because the high frequencies are a bit harsh compared to the older Alto D4 with Powersoft Digimod1000 modules.

However, in the power range I use (the -36dB level LED hardly flickers), the MC6-400 does not produce any noticeable noise with >110dB/watt MT and HT horns.

However, it fulfills my requirement to test 3 different subwoofers (18", 15", 12") with different setups without having to reconnect them.

As with all reasonably powerful low-cost power amplifiers: The built-in fans are far too loud.
So after the end of the warranty period, here's a tip: go for a suitable fan from the world of silent PCs!

I can only report positively about this power amplifier, because a lot of things have been thought of here that are not possible with other 4-channel power amplifiers.
I think it's great that it has a built-in crossover at 100Hz crossover frequency, which works great.
You can bridge the input channels and save yourself a splitter or a Y-cable, so the power amplifier runs for my mobile DJ sets without much additional effort.
In terms of performance, I have to say that it also delivers a lot of power. I put the power amp in a 3U plastic rack with an installation depth of 40 cm and a so-called 1U front panel from somewhere else to connect my connections (except power cables) from the front.
that you can walk up a flight of stairs without your tongue hanging out like I have experienced with other stages over 60.
This means that you can also operate many configurations of loudspeakers. For me it is only important that the bass range runs with 4 ohms in the tops it is less relevant, as the power requirement is lower.
Super price-performance ratio which I can recommend, especially in the mobile sector.

Enough power even at 8 ohms for monitor applications. Can even be used for PA mids, power + good sound. Price/performance: super.

I am pleasantly surprised, very quiet in operation, good sound, light, easy to use.
The test run with 2 18 mm subs and 2 15 mm speakers went well.
Let's see when the system is fully installed....
