Flexible Circuit
The MC4-600 features a mode selector switch for each channel, allowing operation in stereo or parallel mode. This provides a highly versatile tool for numerous applications.
Adjustable Crossover Frequency
The two channel pairs have a selector switch with positions OFF, HPF, and LPF. Depending on the connected speakers, only the required frequency ranges for fullrange speakers, subwoofers, or tweeters are processed. The crossover frequency is set at 100 Hertz.
All essential protection circuits are naturally integrated:
- The power soft start function prevents overloading the power grid when switching on the amplifier.
- The output DC protection constantly checks for DC components at the speaker outputs and switches off the outputs if poor signals are detected. This reliably prevents damage to speaker coils caused by excessive DC components.
- The integrated clip limiter reliably prevents amplifier overload. It prevents DC components from occurring in the circuit at the amplifier stage.
- The sophisticated thermal monitoring and fan control ensure smooth continuous operation under high loads.
- Standard protection circuits such as short circuit protection are a given and naturally included here as well.
- All protection circuits constantly check if the fault still exists and immediately release the outputs again after the fault is cleared.

I have replaced my 3 old iron pigs (Solton and T-amp), which I use at home on a CX3400 for monitoring, with the mc6-400, after one of them regularly switched off after about 1 hour at a slightly higher level due to overheating...
The sound of the mc6-400 is much better than expected, even better than that of the old iron pigs, the power is more than sufficient and even after longer sessions the amp only gets a little over hand warm. Perfect! That's how I imagined it.
The fan noise doesn't bother me at all, you can only hear it when the room is quiet, but when is it ever....?! ;-)
