I have recently a similar set of Ernie Ball strings the 2215and am very satisfied with it. Then I ordered the regular slinky and had not dreamed that there are such quality deviations. The strings are already black in many places after a few hours and although both sets of strings should only differ in the wound strings, the haptic of the strings that should actually be the same is completely different. The strings feel stiff and brittle. Since I ordered the strings in a pack of 5. I tested a second set and the result is the same.
The question is whether this is a bearing problem or a manufacturing problem.

There is nothing to complain about the strings. They stay tunable for a long time, sound good and do not corrode too quickly. Daddarios in the same price range I have replaced by these, because corrosion and discoloration were always an issue

Good thing eg if you have several guitars!

The guitar pages were ordered on 03.03.18. Until 13.03.18 the delivery has still not arrived. Information from the dealer: Due to the long distance, (within Germany) it may take 10 to 14 days. I thought it was a joke, but the lady on the phone meant it seriously.

Am a complete beginner with mid 40zig and since these strings are ideally suited for. Good sound and also keep the tone clean for a long time.

I use Power Slinky gauge 11-48 on my vintage Strat and they sound awesome but I have always thought that it would be nice to have a custom gauge that fits my playing style and that would get me some more bottom from my American Standard Strat. This is it.

I played Daddarios before and was never happy with the early corrosion and discoloration, despite care. The EB's are less sensitive there.

The strings are as always, just perfect!, for me!
But is always a subjective opinion, everyone has a different opinion and makes different demands on his strings.

My first experience with Ernie Ball strings. I bought them for my "heavy" guitar which I use for metal with heavy riffs and drop tunings. The combination of standard high strings and thick low strings provides a very versatile option for a heavy music. In my personal opinion, even in the standard E tuining the riffs sound more heavy due to a larger gauge of the lower strings. Drop D works great as well. And the feeling is different: when you hear the heavy sound and feel the thicker strings under your fingers - it adds the vide to the whole thing. Most likely I will stay with these strings for the heavy music for a while; so far I do not see a better option.

After 20 years daddario changed to eb, had tested a set for interest and am thrilled.

but in the end I got stuck with Ernie Ball. Even the most expensive strings have not been able to convince me. With Ernie Ball everything is just right.
The price / performance ratio is unbeatable and I like the sound best. With the low price you can also put on new strings more often. Of course, such an assessment is always subjective, because personal taste always plays the most important role.
