I already had several Gibson Les Paul and SG models, including Epiphone.
This Epiphone Les Paul Custom makes me shine. The playability, the sound, the workmanship, the tuning stability, simply everything is excellent! The neck, the frets, the action, first class! The guitar vibrates and sings as you would expect from a good Les Paul. And at a budget that is far below that of a real Gibson. I am very happy with the Les Paul Custom from Epiphone.

I struggled with buying the "real" one from the big G for a long time but couldn't justify the large sum. So this attempt by Epiphone came at just the right time and I thought I'd give it a try...
I'm a hobby musician, but I've already had a few high-quality instruments in my hands, so I think I can judge the workmanship, sound and playability quite well.
To be brief :
I have found no faults and am simply thrilled with what Epiphone has delivered here. I'm even sure that I wouldn't have enjoyed the "original" from the custom store any more!
And one thing is certain anyway... my wallet is at least as happy about the purchase as I am!

I already had the Inspired by Gibson before, but this one goes one better visually (real mother-of-pearl inlays, Gibson headstock) and especially in terms of sound. The 490/498 PU combination fits brilliantly and there's a reason why it's in the Gibson. The fact that the Gibson currently costs more than four times as much is hardly justified in my opinion. You won't hear any difference in sound live. The only thing that remains is the feeling of poly vs. nitro lacquer... although the poly won't yellow so quickly either.
