I have the Taschensaxophen now for a short time. after a little practice also the notes already work. but really requires some practice. Despite the "size" it is amazingly loud when played correctly. The wooden plates are very sensitive. The attachment sometimes loosens, which is annoying, but can be easily fixed. Thanks

Very good delivery. And with a better blade (Ryko or Vandoren) it also goes very well. The cheap ones are bad.

As ordered, everything came in order, so far good to play, but am a beginner.

If you're not a musician, it's hard to elicit a tone from a foreign instrument, especially wind instruments. It took me a while with the trumpet and now it's taking me a while with the saxonette. I'm looking forward to finding out the trick. Music is simply fun.
A little instruction would have been nice.

You can practice the embouchure a little and, since almost everyone is familiar with the recorder, you can easily warble a few melodies. For children it is great to finally be able to successfully blow a reed mouthpiece without causing major damage to the instrument.
Conclusion: a cute "nice to have"! I wish everyone at least as much fun with it as my Familei and I have with it!

I was immediately enthusiastic about the pocket saxophone. I also have several recorders. When my husband saw the instrument, he said immediately, I want to have that. He's been playing the clarinet for years. So he knows a lot about instruments with reeds.

I am very pleasantly surprised. I did not know the pocket saxophone before. Wonderful warm tone. Great workmanship. I really recommend it. Who has interest in wind instruments makes here with a purchase certainly nothing wrong.

As a flute player for decades (soprano, alto + tenor) I had expected something more from the instrument, even if the price is very cheap and and the workmanship makes a good impression.... Tone purity is difficult to achieve (even by a saxophone player). The reed clamp can not be fixed, but always slips away to the front, no matter how tight you tighten.

I wanted to change to saxophone after a long clarinet break, but then I discovered the pocket sax and ordered it right away.

It can be blown well, is fun and if you do not just want to earn money in the orchestra or on the street with it, it's just great.

Even my 6 year old son can blow it and at the price it is also not a leg break if he exaggerates it :-)

For all those who want to make music at home with a yet unusual instrument, this is just right.

The idea of combining a small soprano flute with a clarinet mouthpiece is flattering at first, because you can make a small, easy-to-play but loud instrument with little effort. The instrument known as the pocket saxophone sounds more like a cross between a clarinet and an oboe, but it has two serious shortcomings:

1) It is almost impossible for even a trained clarinetist like myself to play notes at the correct pitch, as the instrument is inherently untuned. Often the instrument sounds like a badly intonated bagpipe!
2) Due to the system, the clarinet overblows into the duodecime, but a soprano flute into the octave. So something is wrong here and this is the biggest shortcoming of this combined instrument: you can play from c1 - d2 and then it's over!

Conclusion: If you want to have some fun for a short time or if you want to offer a welcome change to children with soprano flute problems, you can recommend this inexpensive instrument. For more it is not enough!

Packet tracking unfortunately not accurate, has arrived 2 days earlier than indicated and fortunately I happened to be at home !
