I have used a range of VOX modelling amps before - and they were pretty good. But this Katana amp takes it to another level. The quality of sound is really good, even at low wattage - which is great for practicing at home. The range of sounds is limitless when you use the software - Tone Studio. Overall, very satisfied. 10/10

I recently bought the Katana 50 MKII to jam at home for two (I still have the Yamaha THR30II wireless here).
Conclusion: I'm thrilled with the Katana! Very easy to use, very good sound, lots of possibilities and if you want, you can make the glasses in the cabinet clink.... ;-)
Can now confirm the hype about the Katana series myself. Price-performance = MEGA.

Three power levels, so also ideal for practicing in the evening hours ... warm yet aggressive sound ... built-in effects and best of all... Boss ToneStudio. With the software you raise the amp to a new level. Absolutely recommended!

I had previously owned a Line6 Spider Classic 15.
This was not as great sounding as I had hoped and also the functions were in contrast to this AMP here a joke.

The BOSS Katana has everything your heart desires:

-Accoustic effect
-Clean to Brown effects
-Preset effects in CH 1 and 2 (A and B)
-USB port for editing the effects in the channels.
-Connections for pedals, multi-effect devices, AUX
-Massive power, which can be divided into four levels:
Standby, 0.5W, 25W and 50Watt.

With this AMP I can not only fill a 2-story house with sound, but also easily keep up in the rehearsal room with synthesizers, drums as well as another guitar accompaniment and that just on 25Watt. At 50 watts you should be clear, then to be unpopular with the neighbors.

I can recommend this AMP to everyone and not only to beginners. It is best to get the matching bag, which you can also buy here.
Another small caution: This AMP has a lot of weight.

The little guy looks cute, but can roar quite nicely. And that quite neatly for its size. All 3 "channels" differ clearly and do not seem tinny or scratchy. Is for on the road or evenings in the apartment more than recommendable.
Of course it is not a tube with 50Watt.
And the often criticized hum with power supply is mostly due to electrosmog in the environment. Are no transformers, screen or the like in the vicinity hums nothing. I am highly satisfied! With the service of Kirstein anyway!

... when operating (also) with the original power supply, strong background noises occur: Hum, sizzle and crackle.

The grounding connection obviously provided for this (thus probably known) case I have not tried more. This is too fiddly for me for mobile use (plug and play).

Who only wants to play in battery mode should strike, because especially for the size it sounds very good. There is nothing to complain about. The operating time is about 8 hours according to the manual. For outdoor probably ok.

Too bad, too bad, but unfortunately I had to send it back, because it is not useful for my purposes.
