Powerful Active Speaker System

The DXR MkIII speakers run on newly developed Class-D high-performance amplifiers delivering up to 2,000 watts. The amplifiers provide consistent output, wide dynamic reserves and stable performance even during long, demanding use. The combination of efficient amplifier technology, optimized cooling and robust speaker components makes the series suitable for both mobile applications and permanent installations.

In addition, Yamaha uses purpose-built LF and HF drivers specifically tuned for the DXR MkIII series. Users benefit from improved quality control, long-term reliability and a consistently high sonic performance across the entire range.

DSP Technology for Maximum Precision

A central feature of the DXR MkIII series is the powerful digital signal processing with a 96 kHz DSP engine. FIR-X tuning uses linear FIR filters and precise EQ corrections to significantly reduce phase shifts between speaker paths. The result is an especially clear, direct and natural sound with excellent speech intelligibility and accurate transient reproduction.

Drive Motion Calibration (DMC) further controls cone excursion for the low-frequency driver, reducing distortion and delivering tighter, more defined and more controlled bass reproduction—even at high levels.

Intelligent DSP Features for Everyday Live Use

The DXR MkIII series is built for professional use and offers numerous practical DSP features. Particularly notable is the intelligent feedback suppression, which automatically detects and effectively reduces feedback. This greatly simplifies operation for speech reinforcement, announcements and live performances.

The integrated Auto V/H alignment detection automatically recognizes the speaker orientation (horizontal or vertical) and adjusts the tuning accordingly. This ensures optimal reproduction both at FOH and when used as a stage monitor.

Additional DSP modes like FOH/MAIN, MONITOR, LIVE MUSIC, DJ and SPEECH allow quick adaptation to different applications and musical styles.

Wireless Control and Modern Operation

The new Yamaha D-REMOTE app for iOS and Android lets you remotely control and monitor the DXR MkIII series. Via the app you can adjust speaker parameters, DSP functions and system settings wirelessly. This is especially efficient for flown speakers, installations or larger setups.

The series also supports Bluetooth audio streaming for simple wireless playback. Music signals can be transferred quickly and easily—ideal for mobile DJs, presentations, events or quick setups without additional playback hardware.

For intuitive on-site operation, the speakers feature a user-friendly LC display with a rotary encoder. Key functions and DSP settings can be configured quickly and directly on the unit.

The symmetrical cabinet shape supports use as a full-range speaker, stage monitor or installed system.
