The Yamaha DXR MkIII series is engineered for professional sound reinforcement, combining modern DSP technology, powerful amplification and flexible control options with Yamaha’s well-known reliability. Powerful Active Loudspeaker System

The DXR MkIII speakers use newly developed Class-D high-performance amplifiers delivering up to 2,000 watts. The amps provide steady output, large dynamic reserves and stable performance even during extended high-demand use. Thanks to the combination of efficient amplifier technology, optimized cooling and capable loudspeaker components, the series is suited both for mobile use and permanent installations.

Yamaha also uses purpose-designed LF and HF drivers tuned specifically for the DXR MkIII series. This gives users improved quality control, long-term reliability and especially consistent sonic performance across the entire lineup.

DSP Technology for Maximum Precision

A key feature of the DXR MkIII series is the powerful digital signal processing driven by a 96 kHz DSP engine. FIR-X tuning uses linear FIR filters and precise EQ corrections to significantly reduce phase shifts between speaker paths. The result is a particularly clear, direct and natural sound with excellent speech intelligibility and accurate transient response.

Additionally, the integrated Drive Motion Calibration (DMC) technology controls woofer movement. This reduces distortion and makes low-frequency reproduction more precise, defined and controlled—even at high levels.

Intelligent DSP Functions for Everyday Live Use

The DXR MkIII series is purpose-built for professional use and offers numerous practical DSP functions. Of particular note is the intelligent feedback suppression, which automatically detects and effectively reduces feedback. That makes it much easier to use for speech reinforcement, announcements and live performances.

The automatic horizontal/vertical orientation detection Auto V/H is also integrated. The speaker senses its position and adapts its tuning accordingly. This ensures optimal reproduction both at FOH and when used as a stage monitor.

Additional DSP modes such as FOH/MAIN, MONITOR, LIVE MUSIC, DJ and SPEECH allow quick adaptation to different applications and musical styles.

Wireless Control and Modern Operation

With the new Yamaha D-REMOTE app for iOS and Android, the DXR MkIII series can be conveniently controlled and monitored remotely. Via the app, speaker parameters, DSP functions and system settings can be adjusted wirelessly. This creates a significantly more efficient workflow—especially for flown speakers, installations or larger setups.

The series also supports Bluetooth audio streaming for simple wireless playback. That lets you transfer music signals quickly and easily—ideal for mobile DJs, presentations, events or fast setups without additional source hardware.

For especially intuitive operation, the speakers feature a user-friendly LC display with a rotary control. Important functions and DSP settings can be configured quickly and directly on the unit.

Robust Construction for Professional Use

The rugged plastic cabinet is optimized for high stability, low weight and acoustic efficiency. The symmetric enclosure shape supports use as a full-range speaker, stage monitor or installation system. Practical grip positions, fly points and pole mounts simplify transport and rigging in professional daily use.
