Compact student instrument, including conversion kit for marching tuba!
The Classic Cantabile T-170 3/4 Junior Bb tuba is an excellent instrument for beginners and students thanks to its compact dimensions and low weight. But there is more to this tuba than meets the eye. The T-170 can be converted into a marching tuba in no time and easily carried on the shoulder. Whether you're an ambitious beginner or an experienced band musician... One thing is certain: this bass instrument is sure to turn heads and make you stand out!

Perfect for children and young people
The Classic Cantabile T-170 Junior is just 80 cm tall and weighs only a little over 6 kg. This makes it a genuine lightweight that younger tubists (who haven't yet reached their full height) can easily lift and play. But this tuba really shines in more than just music education...
A real ear- and eye-catcher as a marching tuba
With just a few quick adjustments and the included conversion kit, you can convert it into a marching tuba, making it perfect for your next performance with a Guggenmusik ensemble or in a show or marching band. And there's no doubt you'll turn heads at your next outdoor concert or community band performance, as well as in the parade at a district or county music festival.
With the bell facing forward at shoulder height, the sound of your tuba no longer disappears somewhere above the orchestra, but reaches your audience directly.
Tone quality and sound character
Thanks to the use and workmanship of the highest-quality raw materials, Classic Cantabile instruments deliver a clear tone and a pleasant sound character throughout all registers. These qualities put Classic Cantabile at the top of its price class.
Always travel safely and comfortably
Every Classic Cantabile tuba comes in a sturdy hard-shell case with a zipper and double, hook-and-loop fastening carry straps. A reinforced, adjustable backpack harness is also included and can be clipped on when needed.
Durable hard-rubber wheels underneath the case make transporting your instrument comfortable and quick on (almost) any route. The spacious outer pocket provides room for sheet music, accessories and tools. This makes it easy to transport your instrument and equipment, keeping them well protected on the way to rehearsals and performances.
Playing stand
The TPS-2013 tuba playing stand features a sturdy, heavy-duty design. It supports tubists during concerts and ensemble rehearsals. The padded instrument rest supports the tuba while you play, helping reduce fatigue. The stand is height-adjustable and suitable for all tubas.
Music stand
This music stand has a tripod design for excellent stability. Naturally, its legs are fitted with sturdy, non-slip rubber feet. The music desk can be tilted and secured with a thumbscrew. With a music desk depth of approx. 4 cm, this stand is also ideal for thick music books.
A complete method for music lessons at school and in the wind band!
Learning an instrument in a classroom ensemble has been a tried-and-tested method in the USA for years, and is becoming increasingly popular in Germany, too. Essential Elements provides a thorough foundation for all wind and percussion instruments in the wind band, as well as ensemble playing, while promising plenty of fun learning and making music together.
Tuner with metronome
This versatile device is the perfect companion for virtually any instrument. Its contact microphone and wide tuning range make it possible to tune almost any instrument, while the built-in metronome keeps you at the right tempo. The calibratable tuner offers 5 tuning modes, a tone generator and a 1/4-inch input for a contact microphone. The metronome has a wide tempo range of 30 to 260 pulses per minute, 9 time signatures and various rhythmic subdivisions.

Quality tested
To help you enjoy your instrument for years to come, all wind instruments are inspected by Kirstein's quality control team. This takes place in our master-run wind instrument workshop, where qualified instrument makers carry out the checks. We certify that the instrument is in perfect condition and include the certificate with it.
