French Bead Rim for More Control

With the French bead construction, a semi-round wire is soldered into the bell rim instead of a "normal" round wire. Because of its slightly higher mass, the notes lock in more securely. You also keep better control of the tone when you play with more air and power—the note doesn't break out as quickly.
