Trombone

The bass trombone is tuned in Bb. Engaging the first of the two inline valves, the quart valve, changes the tuning to F; engaging the second valve, the tierce valve, changes it to Gb; and engaging both valves together changes it to D. The bell diameter is 241 mm, and the bore measures 14.28 mm.
