Optimized Version of a Legendary, Noble Tenor Horn!
The distinctive tone color and special charm of instruments from Bohemian production are achieved through traditional manufacturing methods. This model stands out with clear intonation and good response, making it ideal for brass bands and musicians who value an authentic Bohemian sound in the tenor register.
The Cerveny Tenor Horn CTH 721-4RII is made of gold brass, which sounds softer and warmer than other materials. The bell rim made of nickel silver increases the stability of the bell and is especially beneficial for the softer gold brass. The valve casing (valve casings and valve outlets) of the tenor horn is also made of nickel silver.
The bell has a diameter of 240 mm, and the bore measures 13.2 mm. But the instrument impresses not only technically. With its fine decorations on the bell rim, bell, valve caps, and valve buttons, it is a real eye-catcher.
Optimized by Instrument Makers and Musicians
The tenor horns of the renewed series from the 2025 production year (with the addition "II" in the product title) were modernized and optimized by Cerveny in collaboration with renowned tenor horn players.
Traditional Craftsmanship
The traditional craftsmanship of the Cerveny CTH 721-4RII tenor horn forms the basis for its easy response and impressive sound projection. Both beginners and semi-professional musicians appreciate the excellent sound and very reliable mechanics of this tenor horn.
High-Quality Components for Comfortable Playing
The valve casing is equipped with minibal joints, ensuring perfect and reliable valve action. The rotary valves, as well as the valve casings, are manufactured on modern CNC machining centers and then hand-lapped (finely processed, smoothed). With the pre-installed marching lyre holder, you are ready to play anywhere immediately.
The baritone is naturally delivered in a sturdy hard shell case and includes a silver-plated mouthpiece.

Hello everyone,
What is the difference between the CTH 721-4RII and CTH 721-4GRII horns?
Thank you for your answer
Jörg Galetzka
Answer by Musikhaus Kirstein:
The two models are basically comparable in terms of their specifications, but the Cerveny CTH 721-4GRII also has a tone equalization trigger on the 1st valve slide.
