Jazz Flugelhorn with Untreated Surface!
Lechgold not only places the highest value on reliability and traditional craftsmanship but also on providing musicians from the start with the best possible foundation for pure joy in playing brass instruments.
With a flugelhorn from Lechgold, you get a high-quality brass instrument crafted in a multi-stage manufacturing process with excellent intonation. Plus: the personal final inspection of the instrument by an experienced brass instrument maker on site.
Flugelhorn
The Lechgold FH-60GR with untreated surface offers a warm, multifaceted sound. High-quality Perinet valves made of stainless steel ensure particularly smooth playability due to their low material weight. A trigger slide with lever mechanism on the 3rd valve serves for clean intonation.
Flugelhorn and bell are made of high-quality phosphor bronze. The bell diameter is 152 mm, the bore measures 11.2 mm.
The flugelhorn is not lacquered, which gives it a unique look right from the start. The patina that develops over the years gives the instrument an individual character.
Tone Quality
By using the highest quality materials, Lechgold impresses with an outstanding tonal character across all registers. Easy response and flawless intonation form the foundation for genuine playing pleasure.

Tested Quality
To ensure you enjoy your instrument for a long time, all brass instruments undergo Kirstein quality control. This takes place in our master-led brass workshop by qualified instrument makers. We guarantee flawless condition with a certificate included with the instrument.
Tradition, Innovation & Passion
The Lechgold philosophy is to produce unique instruments at an affordable price. The long Alpine brass music tradition serves as a great role model. Proven craftsmanship techniques are just as indispensable as the latest manufacturing processes. Selected materials and consistently high quality make Lechgold popular among brass players of all genres.
The Conclusion of Professional Musician Karl Hanspeter
The verdict of South Tyrolean professional musician Karl Hanspeter is clear: "There is simply nothing comparable in this price range! Many other flugelhorns sound very bright, lacking character. I think you have found good material or the right lacquer combination here. In any case, the instrument sounds really warm.
For many musicians, perfect tuning is often all that matters. For me, the sound and character of a horn are more important, because what good is perfect tuning if the instrument doesn’t sound good...? You have to find yourself in an instrument, and that is only possible with an instrument that has character.
In my opinion, you can play it in a big band or music club – but also as a soloist. It sounds good everywhere. To those who have prejudices because of the price, I can only advise: try the instrument. You will be surprised."
About Karl Hanspeter
After military service and studies, the South Tyrolean Karl Hanspeter, born in 1958, deepened his musical knowledge in numerous orchestras such as the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, the Tyrol Brass Quintet, and the large Bolzano brass ensemble.
Despite classical training as an orchestral musician, his interest has increasingly focused on jazz and Bohemian brass music: for almost fifteen years, he has celebrated success as founder and bandleader of the Big Band Hanspeters Orchestra and the jazz formation Hanspeter Jazz Trio in this music genre.
A milestone in his life was his engagement as flugelhorn player and trumpeter with "Ernst Mosch and his Original Egerländer Musicians" in the 1990s. Today, he works as a trumpet teacher at music schools in South Tyrol and as a lecturer at workshops in Germany, Austria, and Italy.
