Josef Klier - Top Quality From Master Craftsmanship!
The family business originated in Graslitz in the Sudetenland, the city regarded as the cradle of musical instrument making in general. This is where the development of the entire industry began. Already in 1669, 12 master violin makers worked in Graslitz. At the outbreak of World War II, 300 companies employed a total of 3000 trained instrument makers.
The personal sound preferences and wishes of the musician can only be fulfilled with the greatest possible technical precision. That’s why Klier uses computer-controlled CNC lathes to manufacture their JK mouthpieces. Only this production method allows the necessary series accuracy with tolerances in the micrometer range (thousandths of a millimeter) due to its high positioning precision.
