Stentor Student II
The Stentor Student II violin is recommended by teachers and music schools for its quality and reliability. The violin is made from solid tonewood in Stentor’s unique workshop environment, offering good tone, pleasing sound and dependable performance. The fingerboard and tuning pegs are made of high-quality ebony. The violin also comes with branded flexible strings and a lightweight tailpiece with four fine tuners.
All Stentor instruments feature inlay work. The Stentor Student II is the ideal beginner violin and comes in a lightweight case with a dark red fabric cover, a sheet music compartment in the lid and reflectors on the exterior. Inside the case you'll find an additional accessory pocket and two bow holders.

Whether a violin is suitable in terms of size always depends on the arm length of the child. From experience, however, a 1/2 or 3/4 violin would probably be more suitable for an 8-year-old child.
